I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy Independence Day.  Our country is diverse in many ways to a point where we sometimes don’t get along very well.  One thing that makes our country unique is the freedom that we’ve had to be able to believe the way we choose openly. We’ve been allowed to speak openly for and against our leadership in the government.  We’ve had our challenges with certain segments of the population being mistreated or taken advantage of but at the end of the day, we are still America.  The United States celebrates 239 years of Independence today and we do have a lot to be thankful for.

Despite differences of opinions, cultural hostilities, values changes, our country still has a lot to be proud of.  I would like to say that I am thankful to God for giving us an awesome country that we can call home.  I hope that you and I can celebrate our wonderful country’s birthday with the recognition that we really do have it pretty good despite all the hostilities you hear about on the news.  God has blessed us with a nation that at least attempts to do its people right, most of the time.  I hope all of you have the greatest Independence Day and enjoy the company of your loved ones this great day.
