Streaming Audio is Back On

Raspberry Pi computer for streaming audio//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.jsAfter a couple years absence, our streaming audio is back on the air for our W5DEL, 146.7 MHz repeater.  As of 12:01 AM, today, the new Raspberry Pi streaming audio is on 24 hours a day.  It is being fed with an older Radio Shack Pro-2051 scanner as shown below… Police Scanner used to stream audio//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

This setup should be a much more dependable configuration than we had before.

In this picture you can see how the USB sound card is connected.  The black wire coming out of the USB sound card is the audio coming from the scanner. The blue wire is the Ethernet and the black wire on the left is the power supply.  I am currently speaking to N1VWE on Echolink and can hear him coming back over the streaming audio.  You can either look us up on your mobile app or listen to us on broadcastify.com. Just search for the United States, then Oklahoma, and finally Oklahoma County. You can also search for W5DEL repeater.  Most mobile police scanner apps can listen to our repeater.

The temperature is hovering around the point where the repeater works for a while and then doesn’t work. I am connecting to the WIN System so that it will warm up.
