In 2007 we had a horrible ice storm where we lost power for a week in Del City. Weather reports that we are getting at this hour are showing that we are expecting another 3/4″ of ice by morning, virtually a copy of what happened in 2007. For that reason we are shutting the repeaters and IRLP nodes down for the night in anticipation of a power outage over night.

The rain is still coming down pretty steady here in Del City and the temperature is 31 degrees.  Since Del City is a older community with many large adult trees and most power lines above ground, it is susceptible to large scale power outages.  If we do lose power, we will update our status on our Twitter page at @W5DEL.
